Parenting is often described as something wonderful and exciting, but sometimes it’s just downright HARD. As a mother and postpartum doula, Ashley’s goals are to support families while they navigate the world as a happy and healthy, cohesive family unit. With the Southern Doula, you’ll discover exceptional, individualized doula care with a side of sweet Southern hospitality.
As a mama of 2, Ashley discovered her passion in serving mothers after having her youngest child back in 2018. Her goal has always been to support moms as they navigate motherhood during the postpartum period, not only so they can survive but to THRIVE. She found so much joy in watching mothers embrace and succeed in life that she became a certified postpartum doula in 2024.
Her secondary passion is supporting mothers as they embark on their breastfeeding journey. Nursing and/or pumping breastmilk for your baby is easily the hardest and one of the most rewarding jobs a mother can accomplish. As a certified breastfeeding specialist, Ashley’s goal is to aid and support mothers to achieve their breastfeeding goals as they work through the joys and pitfalls that can accompany a nursing/pumping relationship.
Born and raised in Texas, Ashley graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Education in 2009. She met her husband Will in 2011 and married in 2013. She and her husband welcomed their first child in 2015 and later relocated to North Carolina in 2017 with their son and dog, Millie, in tow. They welcomed their daughter in 2018 and rounded out the family with an orange cat named Lloyd, who sometimes answers to Gatito. The Greers live a quiet life down in the Clayton area.
